I decided to try something new for you guys and review some movies that came out recently. So if you are taking a trip to your local box store or the movie rental store you will have a heads up on what you might like. This week I chose two movies that came out Tuesday and one that came out the week before. In the future I will try to get all the new releases from that week.
First up is, Haunting in Connecticut, this movie to me was actually really good. A lot of people are comparing this movie to Amittyville Horror with the feeling of the Haunting/Demonic Possession and it effecting a human being. But I thought it to be pretty original and had a great cast. I was very pleased with the scares and the way the movie was pulled off. It did have a few scares that are pretty generic but they worked well enough. I would give this movie 4 out of 5 O’s
Next we have, Fast and Furious, finally they went back to their roots and I am so happy they did. I felt like I was watching the original all over again. Paul Walker and Vin Diesel return with the majority of the original cast and deliver a very solid performance. Always have to love when American Muscle shows up those cheap ass imports, any day! Give this one 4 out of 5 O’s
Last, Miss March, I expected so much out of this movie. The plot looked like it was going to be funny as hell and I expected that as I put it into my player. The wife and I laughed for a good 20 minutes in the beginning and then it just dropped off. The movie was no longer funny and they were trying disparately for laughs. I guess you can’t get three great movies in one week and this was the one. I give it 2 out of 5 O’s
